HCC NE Drama Department -- Gimme Five
The HCC NE Drama Department is very pleased to host the Annual Gimme Five Playwriting Contest and Showcase. Gimme Five is the only playwriting contest designed exclusively for community college students in the Houston area.
The Gimme Five Playwriting Contest began in Spring 2010 as a way to provide HCC NE students with an outlet for their playwriting ideas. Plays submitted to the contest must have a run-time of 5 minutes and feature 2 characters. Limited props and scenery and costumes are used to present the winning plays at the Gimme Five Playwriting Showcase, which utilizes the DRAM 1351 Acting I students as the performers of the pieces.
